Introduction

We strive to ensure that all visitors can enjoy the accommodation, facilities and surroundings with the park. Our aim is to help in anyway that we can and if you require any assistance during your stay or whilst planning your visit we will be delighted to assist. Our current facilities and services offered are:-

Pre-Arrival

We cater for tents, touring caravans, motorhomes and privately owned static caravans. We offer fax and email bookings.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

  • The reception area has a parking area to the front.
  • Once registered at reception guests have to access the park via a barrier with is operated via a smart card.
  • Parking bays are available in close proximity to the shop, clubhouse and restaurant.
  • All facilities are clearly signed.

Main Entrance & Reception

  • Access to reception (and shop in same building) is directly from parking are in front.
  • There is a ramp to the entrance.
  • There is ample room within for a wheelchair to manoeuvre.
  • Accessible parking bays are outside reception for use whilst in reception and shop.

Public Areas - General (Internal)

  • Gravel road service all parts of the park.
  • The Park is situated on two level fields.
  • There are gravel footpaths leading from the main roads.
  • There are benches provided throughout the park.

Clubhouse & Restaurant

  • Access to the bar and restaurant is by a ramp if required.
  • The bar and main restaurant are on the level and has a selection of tables and chairs. Tables and chairs can be moved on request.
  • Facilities include wheelchair accessible toilet facilities.

Laundry

  • There are two steps to the laundry door.
  • There are four front loading washing machines and three tumble dryers.

Shop

  • The shop shares the same entrance and parking as the reception.
  • The shop is on one level.
  • Staff will offer assistance if required.

Treatment room/s

  • Not available.
  • First Aid boxes are located in the bar and restaurant.

Entertainment

Some entertainment programmes have strobe lights and loud music.

Holiday Homes

Holiday homes have 3 steps to the main door with handrail on one side. Each comprise of two or three bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 6 people, shower/bath room, lounge and kitchen. We have a selection of holiday homes where dogs are allowed (please specify on booking).

Touring Facilities (Holiday Parks)

  • All pitches are level either on grass or gravel pitches.
  • The park has two toilet/shower blocks.
  • Both toilet blocks are level entry and accessed via smart card system.
  • There are two washing up sinks in each block.
  • Parking on the grass beside your caravan/tent is allowed: weather permitting.
  • Assistance in siting is always offered.
  • There are numerous water points, chemical toilet disposal points, dustbin areas and fire points on the park.
  • Pitches are allocated on booking and staff are happy to advise on the location and suitability for your requirements on enquiry.

Grounds and Gardens

The park is large and spacious; the distance from one of the entrances to the beach is approx 15 mins walk.

Additional Information

  • Mobile telephone coverage is good in the area.
  • Internet available in the clubhouse.
  • There is a local bus service by the front entrance and local taxis are available.

Website

The Kingfisher Caravan Park website is built using current web standards. It complies to W3C standards for XHTML 1.0 Transitional, which means it will render correctly in all major browsers for all major operating systems, including Linux.

Kingfisher Park is committed to making our facilities available to those with disabilities - this also applies to our website. It passes Section 508 and complies to Priority 1 and 2 accessibility. We are currently working on level 3 compliancy. This means the website should be compatible with a screen reader.
